Your Wifi signal slow or weak? Do you want to improve your Wi-fi at home? So you must read this article.
If there is poor reception of signal or even no signal at certain points result in very low-speed Internet.
The worst thing is when the Wifi connection goes and comes, with frequent disconnections from the wireless network.
However, there are some small tricks to be implemented to make your Wi-Fi signal stronger.
Here are 10  tips to improve your home or office Wifi network and surf faster with your computer or smartphone.

How to increase the Wi-Fi signal at home: 10 tricks to make it faster

1. POSITION THE WIFI ROUTER ANTENNAS VERTICALLY

The router signal extends perpendicular to the direction of the antennas. If you put the antenna or antennas vertically then the signal will be transmitted horizontally. And it will make it to cover a lager area of your house.

2. LIFT THE WIFI ROUTER FROM THE FLOOR

The antennas of the router emit the radio waves mainly downwards. It is good practice to place the router in a high position (hanging on a wall or on a sufficiently high piece of furniture) for avoiding spreading of the signal network to the basement or to the tenant’s house downstairs.

3. CHANGE THE WIFI NETWORK CHANNEL

If you live in a fairly busy area, with several routers, then be careful to choose the right channel for your wireless network. In an ideal environment, there should not be more than three “nearby” routers, because each channel also occupies about 2 channels on the left and two channels on the right (though not completely). Since there are only 13 channels available, those that can be dealt with without creating reciprocal disturbances are 1,6,11 or 2,7,12 or 3,8,13.
There are some software available in the market which can help you in find the best channels for you. NetSurveyor, is one those software. It helps to identify the Wi-Fi networks, present in the area near us, informing us of the channels occupied and those that can be used without suffering any particular disturbances.
However, up to 3 routers, you can avoid overlap. With 2 routers you can also fit in the channel as far away as possible. But if there are many then there is a high risk of disturbance. But if you are working with many routers, then you must try to use the “more free” channels.

4. PUT THE WIFI ROUTER IN AN IDEAL PLACE

The router is today a common object, almost like a radio or a TV. It is the device that allows spreading the Internet in Wi-Fi. As a device, it can look as ugly but this does not mean that you have to hide it behind a piece of furniture. If the signal is to be amplified and boosted as much as possible, the router must be placed in a space free of obstacles and walls.
Finally, make sure that it is centrally located at home, so you have the best coverage possible in all rooms.

5. KEEP THE ROUTER AWAY FROM OTHER ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT

All types of electronic devices can interfere with the signal from your router. We are talking about televisions, microwaves, cordless etc., practically everything that generates an electromagnetic signal. Even large metal objects such as mirrors or cabinets and water (the fish aquarium or turtle) can potentially block the signal.
